Jurors’ Comments:
I really love the black and white image of the donor tiles. The paving and concrete balls gives you a sense of the true design and construction efforts that went into it.
I love the story how they met with the planning commissioner who denied the project recommendation and then the community came together to advocate for this and they listened and the city council unanimously voted in favor. It’s really a testament to community engagement and advocacy and the landscape architect’s role.
