Put on annually by the San Diego Architectural Foundation, Orchids & Onions is a longstanding San Diego tradition aimed at educating the public and professionals about the secret to good urban design and development.
The event kicked off the second annual Archtoberfest, a month-long celebration of San Diego’s architectural achievements, organized by the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects with 22 other partnering organizations.
The Orchid winners include Wimmer, Yamada & Caughey for the Mesa College Math & Science Building.
