Landscape Architecture

GroundLevel is an established, design-focused, landscape architecture firm with offices in San Diego and Rancho Santa Fe that offer collaborative design environments with unique and enthusiastic studio atmospheres.  We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Rancho Santa Fe studio with a specific interest in residential estate work, 10-15 years of experience in professional practice, and with a minimum of 5 years of experience in management for an immediate, full-time position.  Candidates must be driven, passionate about their work, and excited about collaborating with a team.

Required skills and experience include the following:

  • Good communication and ability to work as part of a team. Flexible.
  • Good site design skills and the ability to illustrate them through a mix of media types.
  • Manage all aspects of multiple small to large-sized projects. Prepares strategic plans for project success.
  • Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Ability to serve as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments. Estimates fees, determines scope of works, and prepares proposals and contracts.
  • Good computer graphic presentation skills with fluency in AutoCAD (LandF/X), SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Have or working towards licensure.
  • Ability to manage a project team of 2-4 people.

Undergraduate or master’s degree in landscape architecture, architecture, interior design or equivalent, with 10-15 years of experience in professional practice with a minimum of 5 years of experience in management.
