HALS Committee and the La Jolla Historical Society partnered in May 2016 for the LJHS Secret Garden Tour. Each year LJHS opens up 5 – 7 gardens for the tour with the theme of California Living in Outdoor Rooms. Several of this year’s garden tour started at the historic Wisteria Cottage where HALS Committee member Gail Garbini and ASLA volunteer John Ploetz (shown in the photo) manned the HALS booth and spread the word to hundreds of tour participants about Historic Landscapes.
